| Volunteering at Leigh Woods |
Volunteering is a great activity to do whether for exercise, to meet new people, work experience or just to fill the time!
Volunteers are key to the work carried out by The National Trust. Here at Leigh Woods we have regular volunteer groups on a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and every third Sunday. A volunteers day starting at 9 and finishing at 4 involves helping the wardens with practical conservation tasks such as scrub clearance, path clearance and felling and planting of trees, at Leigh Woods and across our numerous other sites in Bristol. An added bonus to volunteering with The National Trust is a volunteer card which you can receive if you have worked over 50 hours, allowing you free entry and car parking to all National Trust properties.
If you are more interested in the educational and community involvement side of The National Trust there is the opportunity to be an educational volunteer, helping out with activities, school groups and events. |
The National Trust also welcomes community and employee volunteering so if you or a group are interested in volunteering here at Leigh Woods or our other sites in Bristol; don’t hesitate to get in touch!
